House of the Dragon: sette nuovi attori nel cast del prequel di Game of Thrones

Cresce il cast di House of the Dragon, la serie prequel di Game of Thrones che racconterà la storia della Casa Targaryen.
Sono state infatti annunciate ben sette new entry, nello specifico:

• Graham McTavish (Outlander) interpreterà Ser Harrold Westerling, un uomo che ha fatto parte dei cavalieri al servizio di Re Jaehaerys, un esempio di cavalleria e onore.
• Ryan Corr (Mary Magdalene) interpreterà Ser Harwin Strong, l’uomo più forte dei Sette Regni e figlio maggiore di Lyonel Strong, cosa che lo rende erede di Herrenhal.
• Jefferson Hall (Vikings) interpreterà due gemelli, nello specifico Lord Jason Lannister, Signore di Castel Granito, e Ser Tyland Lannister, un politico particolarmente astuto.
• David Horovitch (Miss Marple) interpreterà il Grande Maestro Mellos, il consulente fidato di Re Viserys.
• Matthew Needham (Chernobyl) interpreterà Layrs Strong, il figlio minore di Lyonel Strong.
• Bill Patterson (Fleabag, Good Omens) interpreterà Lord Lyman Beesbury, Signore di Honeyholt e responsabile delle finanze per Re Viserys.
• Gavin Spokes (Hamilton) interpreterà Lord Lyonel Strong, Maestro delle Leggi e Primo Cavaliere di Re Viserys.

Il resto del cast

La serie sarà basata su Fire & Blood, il libro di Martin che racconta l’ascesa e la caduta dei Targaryen. Lo show sarà ambientato 300 anni prima di Game of Thrones. Il cast includerà Olivia Cooke (Alicent Hightower), Matt Smith (Daemon Targaryen), Emma D’Arcy (Rhaenyra Targaryen), Rhys Ifans (Otto Hightower), Steve Toussaint (Corlys Velaryon), Eve Best (Rhaenys Velaryon), Fabien Frankel (Criston Cole) e Sonoya Mizuno (Mysaria). Paddy Considine sarà Re Viserys I.

Il progetto è stato creato da George R.R. Martin e Ryan Condal (Colony).
House of the Dragon sarà basato su Fire & Blood, il libro di Martin che racconta l’ascesa e la caduta dei Targaryen. Lo show sarà ambientato 300 anni prima di Game of Thrones.

Gli showrunner

Ryan Condal sarà lo showrunner della serie insieme a Miguel Sapochnik, che ne dirigerà il primo episodio e altri successivi.
