House of Gucci: arrivano i primi commenti della stampa estera

La stampa estera ha visto House of Gucci, l’atteso film di Ridley Scott sul rapporto fra Patrizia Reggiani (Lady Gaga) e Maurizio Gucci (Adam Driver).

House of Gucci è molto buono, Jared Leto è nato per interpretare l’iconico stilista Fredo Waluigi Gucci, e – scusate se questo è uno spoiler – ma a un certo punto Lady Gaga dice “it’s time to take out the trash”.

L’atmosfera ricorda quella del Padrino, con tradimenti familiari, trasformazioni fisiche, pugnalate alle spalle ed è molto più serio che campy. Lady Gaga è incredibile, così come Jared Leto, e la storia è SELVAGGIA! La cura dei dettagli è impeccabile

Il film è fantastico, come anche l’interpretazione di Lady Gaga. Jared Leto dovrebbe vincere un Oscar.

Un film esagerato che non segue una direzione precisa. Ci sono troppi focus narrativi impilati uno sopra l’altro. La parata di star che si muove nel porno del lusso può anche essere divertente, ma non è abbastanza per salvare il film dal suo stesso disordine.

È tutto ciò che Ridley Scott voleva da “The Counselor” ma non è stato in grado di fare. Dividerà molto. Lady Gaga divora letteralmente il suo ruolo. La migliore interpretazione di Jared Leto dal suo Oscar.

È un buon film? Per molti versi è un disastro, ma i costumi e gli accenti camp lo rendono buono.

Ho adorato il film, principalmente perché Lady Gaga, Adam Driver e Jared Leto sono così bravi! Dura circa 30 minuti di troppo ma comunque ci siamo divertiti. E non vedo l’ora che gli innumerevoli meme inizino a girare.

Triste da dire, ma non è un buon film. Lady Gaga non funziona, non è neanche buona in senso camp. Mi ha ricordato Madonna in Body of Evidence.

House of Gucci è ispirato alla sconvolgente storia vera della famiglia che ha fondato Gucci. La casa di alta moda italiana diventata famosa in tutto il mondo. Il film racconta tre generazioni di Gucci attraverso tre decenni. Potere, Creatività, Ambizione, Tradimento, Vendetta e un omicidio. Tutto per il controllo della Maison che portava il nome della loro famiglia.

Oltre a Lady Gaga e Adam Driver, nel cast di House of Gucci figurano anche Robert De Niro, Jeremy Irons, Jared Leto, Al Pacino, Jack Huston e Reeve Carney.

La produzione

La produzione è curata dallo stesso Ridley Scott e da Giannina Scott con la loro Scott Free Productions. Le riprese si sono svolte anche a Roma, e poi si sposteranno a Firenze e sul Lago di Como. MGM si occuperà della distribuzione.
